Lady Macbeth becomes more and more unimportant to her husband after killing Duncan, however. Macbeth also believed the prophecy that Banquos descendants would become king. These characteristics are shown through the victory against the rebels, Macbeths trust in the witches and his letter to his wife. This is where he starts to get bloodthirsty thoughts, and it is shown more as the play goes. Banquo realises that there must be a trick hidden in the witches prophecies but Macbeth refuses to accept that. Throughout the play, however, it is evident that his character and the personality of his character change a lot. At the start of the play Macbeth is courageous, ambitious, superstitious and devoted to his wife. This proves the affection and trust he had in Lady Macbeth. King Duncan praises noble Macbeth. Although Macbeth knows that he is doomed, he fights Macduff to the end, showing he is still courageous and physically brave.
